50 Cent vows to take action after Trump’s surprising response when asked if he’d pardon Diddy if convicted in sex trafficking trial

50 Cent has vowed to take action after Donald Trump gave his verdict on whether he would pardon Diddy if he was convicted in his ongoing sex trafficking trial.

Diddy, real name Sean Combs, is currently on trial after being charged with racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion in 2024.

Ever since Combs was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, New York last September, he has maintained his innocence and has denied all the charges against him.

Since the trial went underway a few weeks ago, numerous testimonies have been given by witnesses, including his ex-girlfriend Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, who has accused Combs of physical abuse during their relationship

During a press conference at the White House on Friday (May 30), Trump was asked about the trial and whether he’d extend Combs a pardon.

Refusing to rule out the possibility, the president said: “Nobody’s asked. But I know people are thinking about it. I know they’re thinking about it. I think some people have been very close to asking.

“First of all, I’d look at what’s happening, and I haven’t been watching it too closely, although it’s certainly getting a lot of coverage.

“I haven’t seen him. I haven’t spoken to him in years.”

50 Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson III, has since issued a response to Trump’s comments with an Instagram post on Friday.

The rapper, who has long had a feud with Diddy in the hip-hop world, wrote: “He said some really bad things about Trump, it’s not ok. I’m gonna reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy.

“Donald doesn’t take well to disrespect, and doesn’t forget who chooses to go against him.

“While working tirelessly to make America great again, there is no room for distraction. He would consider pardoning anyone who was being mistreated, not Puffy Daddy.”

The reporter at the White House conference noted that back in 2012, Trump had previously said on The Celebrity Apprentice that Combs was a ‘good friend’ of his, but Trump’s decision to head into politics changed that dynamic.

The 47th POTUS added: “He used to really like me a lot, but I think when I ran for politics, sort of, that relationship busted up from what I read…you become a much different person when you run for politics and you do what’s right…our country’s doing really well because of what we’re doing.

“I could do other things and I am sure he would like me to and I’m sure other people would like me to but it wouldn’t be as good for the country.

“Our country is doing really well because of what we are doing, so it is not a popularity contest, I would certainly look into the facts.”
